The Cosmopolitan Club is a well-known venue in Philadelphia for the exhibition of works by local artists. The Club's beautiful Art Deco interiors provide ample wall space for hanging paintings in the Salon and Dining Room, and four vitrines are used for the display of smaller craft items and jewelry. The exhibitions change seven times a year and can feature paintings, sculpture, photography, works on paper, fabric works and professionally finished crafts such as pottery, jewelry and clothing. Four artists are chosen for each exhibition.
The Club stages a reception at the beginning of each exhibition, which includes complimentary refreshments and is open to guests of the artists as well as members and their guests.
You are invited to enjoy our last Artists’ Opening Reception of the season on Friday, April 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Helen Halstuch will show her paintings and monotypes in the Salon.
Betty Lesher will bring her paintings, giclee prints and lithographs as well as fine art photography to the Dining Room.
Dona Dalton’s very collectible wooden sculptures and toys will be featured in the East Vitrines.
Sara Myers’ exquisite silver, gold and pearl jewelry will be in the West Vitrines
At the beginning of December every year, the Club holds a two-day Holiday Bazaar featuring the works of some of Philadelphia's finest crafts people.
Artists interested in showing their work at the Club, can contact Club Manager Agneta Bacican at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 215.735.1057, ext. 11, for information on how to initiate the process.
