Exhibiting at the Club

The Cosmopolitan Club is a well-known venue in Philadelphia for the exhibition of works by local artists. The Club's beautiful Art Deco interiors provide ample wall space for hanging in the Salon and Dining Room, and there are four vitrines that are used for the display of smaller craft items. The Exhibitions Committee organizes seven shows during each Club calendar year, including a two-day Holiday Bazaar with numerous vendors. The variety of art has included: painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, fabric works and professionally finished crafts such as pottery, jewelry and items of clothing. Shows last from four to six weeks and include artwork from four artists for each one.

Artists are encouraged to mount their works in the manner they prefer; committee members are present to assist at installations. Every artist is encouraged to invite clients and friends to an opening reception. The Club provides refreshments and extends an invitation to its members to enjoy the art and the socializing. Many do.

If you are interested in exhibiting at the Club, please contact Club Manager Agneta Bacican at Clubgm@cosClub.org or at 215.735.1057 ext 11 for information on how to initiate the process.
