Friday, September 24 through Friday, October 15
Artists' reception Friday September 24 from 5p.m. to 7p.m.
Rochelle Myers seeks unusual, reality-based views of an object or scene that thrust the viewer into a new direction, where the complicated surfaces and planes begin to create a new spacial environment. Her manipulation of light and colors serves to redefine the image and express a mood. H. Flitter Holly, founder of H. Flitter, designs affordable jewelry with wearability, sophistication and plenty of style in mind. Her pieces range from sterling and vermeil to 14 kt and 18 kt metals and often include pearls, semi-precious and precious stones. A team of three fine jewelers executes her designs.Sophisticated and affordable jewelry; original designs of vermeil, gold and silver pieces with pearls, semi-precious stones Jeffrey Odiorne has followed up his career in advertising and graphic design with painting full-time since 2006. His graphic design background comes through in the energetic and vividly colored images that are reflective of architectural and typographical forms. He says, "I think that if my paintings were music, they'd be jazz."

Artists' reception Friday October 22 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. Antoinette Farrar Seymour Paintings and workss top The Cosmopolitan Club is a well known venue in Philadelphia for the exhibition of works of art. The Club's beautiful Art Deco interiors provide ample wall space for hanging in the Salon and Dining Room and there are four vitrines, which can be used for the display of smaller items. The Exhibition Committee sponsors up to seven shows during each Club calendar year. The variety of art has included painting, sculpture, photography, works on paper, fabric works, and professionally finished crafts, such as pottery, jewelry, and items of clothing. It is the Club's policy to charge a 25 percent commission on sales. Artists are encouraged to mount their works in the manner they prefer; committee members are present to assist. Every artist is encouraged to invite clients and friends to an Opening. The Cosmopolitan Club provides a complimentary reception with refreshments and extends an invitation to its members to enjoy the art and the socializing. Many do. Although the best way to present work is through personal connection with a Club member, artists are invited to submit resumes and portfolios for review and consideration. Exhibits are scheduled well in advance. For further information, please call the Club and speak with the Manager. top |
