The Cosmopolitan Club of Philadelphia was founded in 1928 by women in the Philadelphia region to provide its members with programs, activities and opportunities for socializing. Since 1930, it has owned and maintained a Clubhouse at 1616 Latimer Street for the use and benefit of its members, who are involved in creative and professional work and are engaged in cosmopolitan and civic affairs and the world of arts and ideas.
